yes it should flash. the wire that is pulsed is behind the drivers kick panel and is red/black. Compustar is not a DEI product so i can only say how they do it. your alarm may or may not be the same. There is no dedicated fuse or relay for the light flash. fuse is shared for the alarm brain and no auxillary relay is utilized. if it's not working i suspect the wire is not connected, or the brain internally has failed.

Headlights or parking lights?

Parking lights flashed on a car we had here with a Compustar alarm.

It depends on the install.

i just assumed he meant parking lights, but maybe he meant headlights? lol

op: if you're trying to add headlight flash as well you just need to wire up a simple spst relay.

Headlights don't normally flash. If you've got HID headlights, its not rocommended for them to flash. Parking lights should flash howerver. If they don't, there is usually a fuse, if that is good, there is usually a polarity jumper (+ parking light trigger, vs - parking light trigger), you may need to switch. If you want your headlights to flash also, you will need a relay as d16sihatch mentioned.

Definitely need clarification, is it the park lights, [running lights] or the head lights you want to flash, as mentioned it is best to use the park lights.

Do any lights flash now?

Also, what is the MM&Y of car the Compustar is in and what model of Compustar?

Compustar alarm/remote start brains have both a "high current" pos.(+) light flash output and a "low current" neg.(-) output. 94
