im about to buy a d16y8 0bd2a harness for my ex swapped 96 dx and was wondering if there is a way to determine if the guy is actually giving me the harness im about to pay him 100 dollars for... anyone know a way to identify an engine wiring harness? thanks a ton

i would simply check to make sure it has the correct shock tower plugs and obd2a dizzy plugs, and of course the vtec solenoid, vtec pressure switch, and knock sensor connectors.

d16y8 harness doesn't have shock tower plugs 96-2000 civics use a 1 peace harness that goes through the firewall to the ecu- eg and tegs use 2 part harness

i had a brain fart. i should remember this seeing as how i pulled the one piece harness out of my own ek not even a few months ago. i was working on the ef recently, which has shock tower plugs.. so i'll chalk it up to that lol.

one piece harness, VTEC solenoid, VTEC pressure switch plug, knock sensor plug, 2 wire IACV plug
