ABS Light ON when driving.
I need some advice. I have a 92 Accord EX. The ABS light comes on when I start driving faster than 5 mph. I disconnected the battery to clear the code. After connecting the battery and starting the car the light is not on. It only turns on when I start driving above 5 mph. Is there a speed sensor of some sort?
I found out what my issue was. I inspected my ABS system and found the toothed ring on my right front drive axle loose and away from the wheel speed sensor, therefore I got the ABS light on. What I did to fix it: I cleaned all surface areas of the toothed ring and the area on the drive axle with MEK (you can use Isopropyl Alcohol) where the ring is pressed on. Then I used JB WELD to adhere the toothed ring in place on the drive axle. I let it cure. Now I have no ABS light. Everything works as it should.
