eg front sway bar, whats availible?
I recently trashed my suspension technique front sway bar (pot holes suck) and need to get a new one, but they are the only company I can find online that sells an aftermarket front sway bar, the only thing i can find is rears... my ST was for a non-equipped civic (DX) but have recently acquired the front LCAs from an LS teg. so now I'm looking at everything.
so my question is... are there any other companies out there? I know OEM will work, but just looking at all my options.
please don't flame, just looking for the info and did search but could only find info on stock front swaybars.

get a integra front swaygsr or type r front sway both will make a significant difference...i think asr makes a front sway bar...dont hold me to it
ran to the junkyard today and grabbed up an LS one... (better then the ST with a 2in bend under the pedals (relative location)
we don't have anything else in the yards around here, its hard enough to find tegs or civics (any year range)
I'm not opposed to having OEM, more just looking at what else there is so I can check out different options and see what I like the best for my driving. In the process of new bushings (everywhere) and stupid weld in nuts are having the best of me. should be finished next weekend.
I will PROBABLY be modifying my ST rear bar (3/4 inch) by cutting it down and welding on new brackets so that i can run into the stock rear sway locations instead of the ST great idea of into the shock bushings... (makes the sway much less noticeable) But I really need to order a ASR or some other rear subframe brace... don't worry, beaks is NOT in the options... Basicly its between Function7 (more expensive but lighter and amazing customer service) and ASR (kinda trendy but cheaper) Both look to function the same... only benefit of the ASR is that they make swaybars so I know it will all work together and I wont be needing to modify the D brackets.
WOW THAT TURNED INTO A STORY!! sorry.
Cliff's:
1, Picked up LS front sway
2, Just looking for all my different options (not just OEM, but aftermarket too)
3, Doing bushings and weld in nuts suck
4, Don't know if I should go with Function7 or ASR rear subframe brace.

I love the function7, my friend had it and lca's on his civic and it looked great. FYI, im told asr D brackets will fit function7 brace, (per function7).
if you just want function with some good looks get asr.

Ah, gottcah. Well your on the right path with a integra sway bar.
After a little while of searching the only one i can really find is st. However i belive Mugen sells a 30mm front sway bad, dont hold me to that.
I have seen people talk about that in the past.

Yeah, i found it odd, there are quite a few rolling around for the EFs, EKs, EPs, and even the new civic... I guess being able to swap in a Teg one is enough to cover the market for EGs... I'll probably search for a Type-R one, just so I can compare... If i remember to bring my camera to the shop tomorrow I'll get a pic of the carnage that michigan roads have on low parts.
Problem with the ST bar is that it litterally is the lowest thing on the car. so it takes one hell of a beating.
Also, if I find anything else, I'll try and post it in here or atleast in that OEM sway bar size thread... we'll see what there is.

I would be very interested to see it, I have a si bar in my car and it hangs lower then my exhuast.
I bang it on speed bumps and things every now and again. I will be rasing it up to try and stop that.

If you have odd sway bar brackets that don't seem to fit (which is very rare), we can also supply Energy Suspension sway bar D-bracket/bushing kits that is the right size for your sway bar.
Our braces do cost a little more because the entire brace is machined out of one solid block of aluminum.
More info about the ST sway bar;
The regular ST sway bar for "non sway bar" cars attach at the bottom of the shocks with an L-bracket. If you modify the bar to attach to the "stock location" on the LCA, it actually makes the sway bar effectively softer and you will experience more sway. The ST sway bar (either version) is compatible with our arms and our braces.
Hope this helps.

I understand where the cost is on your brace and that really isnt a problem for me. I love my lcas and will most likely get your brace. Didnt know there were multiple holles that really helps. And emily does great customer service, always knows the answer and quickly.
Did you happen to mail out my bushings?
Im not fully meaning to hack the ends off, i will be bending and basicly redesign the whole rear sway, its gunna be a winter project so i have time to figure in if it will be efficiant to do.

Emily is our operations manger -- if you gave her the information she asked for (serial numbers, addresses, etc) I'm sure it is on its way.
Thanks
