So i built my whole motor so i took everything apart
And when it was time to put everything in i noticed different numbers on every rocker arms on the head and they all had numbers like 2 of each 1 2 3 4 etc
so i thought it didnt matter and put em on in random spots
and when i started the car the valves been ticking loud so i did valve lash and it went little quieter and when i went and did a pull it got loud again so i figured its because of the different spots i put the rockers in
so any one know the correct places for each arm?

btw its not a rod knock i triple checked

 

You can mix and match them long as you set your lash correctly, its easy to do incorrectly though.

 

That's what I was curious about as well. I have my head mostly apart (minus the springs and valve assembly)
