If you have the money I would go with the itr head. The cams are more aggressive. Its going to cost you more. Im not too sure on the price but I believe I saw some go for like 500. The Ecu depends on what generation you have. I would recommend running an obd1. .Set up so you can use a stock b20 Ecu and just go get it chipped and dyno tuned. That's what I did...... now for running the oil lineyou can either use a spacer that screws on to were the oil filter goes... I believe golden eagle sales one. Or you can run a t fitting were your oil pressure sensor is. I did it with the t fitting. Being that you are going vtech I would change your rod bearings with new ones. Cause you are more prone to spin a rod at the higher rpms that you will now be turning. That's all I can think of... make sure when you buy the head you get the dizzy intake plenum and fuel rail with injectors. It will make it easyer. Total price if you can find the good deals will cost you 1000-1500 if you do it yourself. Pm me if you have questions
you'll need stepped dowels as well. or you can drill your block to accept the larger vtec ones. dowels aren't all that expensive though, so i would just go that route.
i would just buy the GE kit. it makes life a whole lot easier and doesn't cost all that much when you consider what it comes with
you get the head gasket, oil filter sandwich, line, fittings, dowels. i got mine for 250$ CDN some years ago.
as for main bearings, i've never heard of them being the weakest link in an ls-v. but i could be wrong.
for ecu, just go with an obd1 vtec. whatever is the cheapest one you can find. probably p28. then have it chipped.
other areas that deserve attention, but are not mandatory (i personally would):
ARP head studs
ARP rod bolts
b16,18c oil pump
b16, 18c water pump
and some would go so far as to use the b18c block girdle. which may not be a bad idea in a b20
it can get pretty involved, depending on how closely you want it to replicate what honda engineers spent countless hours and dollars putting together
