how do u install a tie rod?
well im having trouble tightening the nut on to the tie rod.It turns and turns but it wont tighten its happening on both sides.I used a C clamp to remove them because they are under alot of pressure illtry to post pics later.
You are aware you should have counted how many turns on each side before the tie rod came completely off correct? If you didnt you now need to get your car aligned. Then when re-installing just turn the tie rod on the ammount of times that you previously noted. Then set it in the spindle, put the castle nut on hand tight, then procede to tighten the nut on the tie rod with a wrench. Then run the castle nut for the tie rod all the way on and insert a cotter pin. Same procedure for both sides. Wash Rinse and Repeat. Good luck.
i think your talking about the outter tie rod or it would seem so. and even coutning threads isnt perfectly accurate you may still be off just the way it is man. but guy aboves pretty correct
