I had a no spark issue and it turned out the ecu was fried. i got a stock pr4 and installed it. the car is obd0. i plugged in the stock pr4 and still no spark.
but i have no idea if the car should even spark with that ecu stock.

car is an 88 hatch obd0 d16y7 turbo

 

the ecu red dot flashes 1 time on startup and there are no check engine lights. main relay is new also

 

as long as your running the correct injectors and dizzy i dont see a problem with it not sparking

 

got it semi running. map sensor was bad and spark was good just not what i was used to seeing (other car is a lt1 ta with a msd coil and msd6al) now it starts on the stock pr4 tune but doesnt idle not that i really expect it to with the 440 cc injectors.

I am waiting for someone to swap my socket over so i can plug in my tuned chip
