Hi I have a 93 Del Sol It was an automatic It had an automatic D15 now it has a 5spd d16y7 The mount on the top of the transmission in the top passenger side it has a lot of tension on it an all the other mouts dont line up except the one one the drivers side top mount. what this thread is about is i am wanting to know if i have to get a special mount for the top passenger mount. If so a link or any information on were to get one that goes from a 93-95 automatic del sol to a standard ek d16y7 engine an tranny.

 

You'll either have to get an auto to manual mount for a '92 - '95 Civic, '93 - '97 Del Sol. Or drill all the spot welds out of the metal bracket welded to the frame and them weld in the corresponding manual version and use a regular 5 speed upper transmission mount.

which urathane fittness should i chose 62A street, 70A Race, 88A extreme race, or 94A most extreme race i dont know what each do but it is a selection I do not know which to chose for the car im not drag racing but i do a lot of playing around in the car though what would be recomended.

 

If you're driving it on the street, stick with the 62a

i am sorry to sound so mean but now im just irritated I ordered this part sunday says it usually ships next buisiness day I payed with debit an I have lost an entire week of work on my car. I called the ups terminal where i live an they said that if the package was shipped i would immediatly recieve a tracking number which i have not.At this point i am just irritated. today is the last day im waiting then monday im request my money back this is rediculous. This is the first time i have ever posted a negative post on this site an im hoping i never have to again not that it does anything but still its the meaning about it.

just outta curiousity if your doing an engine swap, why swap in a non-vtec? unless its just a stock daily driver.

Im sort of an easily happy kind of person so i dont have to have vtec but i am mini me swaping the thegine as soon as i get the money to i do little things at a time lol.
