Ok This is my problem. i bought a used gsr shortblock from someone and put a built pr3 head on it (which was working perfectly fine before i removed it from another engine). i finish swapping everything over and i start the car and smokes like crazy. The smoke is white and dense, and it also smells sweet. I did remove each individual spark plug to see if i could trace which cylinders were causing the smoke, and it was 1, and 4.


Could it be just a blown headgasket caused by a warped head or could it be something else? Im kinda stumped at this point.

 

can be the headgasket

 

drain some of your oil, if it looks like chocolate milk then its probably your head gasket.

 

maybe you have too much oil. that would make it smoke like a train. and u should always get a new head decked to insure that it will work properly.

 

if it smells sweet i would put money on that head gasket. antifreeze smells sweet when it burns.
