2 questions

Default 2 questions

1. how do you reset the ecu?
2. how do you retrieve the codes?

my car is an 89 d15b2 civic LX sedan

ive found the list of what the codes are, but i have not been able to find a thread pertaining to our EF's on retrieving the codes.
i know where the box is under the passenger foot well.

1.disconnect negative battery cable for a couple seconds.

the quickest way is by taking off the neg the battery or pulling the ecu fuse...

to read the codes you gotta pull back the carpet on the pass. side footwell, through the plate theres a sight hole and you gotta count the flashes to match for the codes....

code list should be in the faq thread..

i think the point was missed on my number two question.

i know how to read the codes....how do i get the ecu to give me the codes?

jump the blue service connector plug on the passenger footwell. use a paperclip or something similar

if you would say wether its obd0 or obd1 would have told you but seeing as you have not, i was guessing obd0
