i have a 94 honda civic that over heats and i have no idea why. i just installed a new intake manifold; and my thermastat was stuck, thought it was the problem so i put a 180 deg. one on but still over heats im pretty shure every thing is hooked up correctly. i blow into the two antifreeze hoses that connect to my manifold because i thought maby i had the wrong gascet on it but it flows right threw it, im completly lost can anyone give me some suggestions or anything please. You might want to check if your fan is going on when your car is hot if not im pretty sure thats the problem. Check the wiring and the connector close to the thermostat to see if its connected or has a ripped cable???? Let us know how it goes:thumbsup:
Did you correctly bleed the coolant system after installing the thermostat? The thermostat you bought might not work correctly if you've bled the system properly; sometimes a cheap thermostat or even a name brand thermostat can be faulty. After the car is warm, feel both radiator hoses, if they're both warm/hot them the thermostat is working right.
