i just did a mini me swap on my 99 civic dx HATCH and i wanted to know if this is where the knock sensor should go? i mean i have a p2p ecu and i have a check engine light because i need a knock sensor please i need to know asap

That's the coolant drain bolt in the block. The knock sensor is north of the oil filter.

 

No, thats the frost plug to drain the coolant from the block. IIRC there is a spot on a Y7 block for the knock sensor but you'll have to tap the hole.

 

well right above that today i felt like there was a hole there with threads and it felt just like the kinda hold a knock sensor would fit into so i think that might be it?

 

Nope, a y7 has the hole plug and play.

The hole for the knock sensor sits DIRECTLY below the third runner on the IM. Taking off the IM makes it a much more simple install and you can clearly see an empty threaded hole the minute you pop the IM off. It's literally like 3mm under the 3rd runner.

 

i got it guy its was a bitch to get to so i just took the intake mani off its was so much easier to get to thanks for all the help
