Can some one please let me know how to fix this problem on my 97 Accord; oil seems to be leaking from inside the distributor cap?

People have been telling it’s a gasket?

 

if its from the distributor area alone it is your camshaft seal. you have to replace it.

 

i think its from inside the distributor i havent open it..
is it something that can be fix quick?

 

that I have seen there are only 2 gaskets when it comes to the distributor. one on the tip and the seal on the camshaft. Neither one that I have ever been able to see has to deal with fluids going into or out of the distributor. Take the cap off and look at the walls. But I am nearly 100% sure it is one of the 2 seals previously mentioned. I just did a major overhaul of my engine gaskets and they are the only ones there other than the cap gasket itself.

I received the o ring I have put it in but do i have to put glue or something else so it can stay stuck?

 

no glue or anything is required to hold either the o-ring or the seal in place.

just to clarify...
you are leaking oil internally into the distributor? and are replacing the internal oil seal as well or just the external o-ring?

 

correct i just replaced both of the seals

Yup, you'll want to replace both seals; internal and external.
