Default just bought a 88 ef i have some questions can any one help ?

i have a 88 hatch with a b series swap obd1 freshly done and it grind when i go into third gear could it be i have a cable clutch or is it i need bushings ?

Probably the gears themselves. 3rd always goes out because its the gear everyone rides. If you bought the car with the swap already done, chances are it was dogged on before you got it.

what do i have to do to change that because that is the only gear that grinds a little bit . it feels like i need new bushings in my shift linkage . or a new clutch my brother said .

nah i doubt it its probably the fact that someone race it alot....have seen it happen eventually youll lose third

It would take a new 'synchro' in the transmission. This is done when you rebuild the transmission. It is labor intensive, and not end user friendly unless you have a lot of time and want to buy the tools necessary.

yeah replacing gears is a pita. not advised unless u are very mechanically inclined and have $ for parts and the time.
