Default Should i chip my b16a

i have a b16a in a 91 crx si and im not sure if installing a spoon "one size fits all" chip will do anything because if it does anything significant its worth the $20.

And also would it be possible to restore the ecu to normal after i installed the spoon chip if it didnt work out the way i wanted?

another question i had was how exactly does one go about installing said "spoon" chip? Is it a solder in thing or is it a plug or what?

Thanks to anyone that can help.
Ryan

Let me guess, you saw it on eBay? Don't bother man. That stuff is garbage. Take the car to a dyno and have it tuned if you want to extract any real power.

chipping your b16 is only worth doing if you have modified it. Having a pre programmed chip is not that great either

x2

a nice set of cams, valvetrain, header, intake and exhaust will wake that b16 up nicely

as stated before, convert to obd1 if you arnt already and get a chipped p28, and take it to a dyno. They can tune it for more power, and also should beable to get rid of the speed limiter and rev limiter. A pre"tuned" chip is worthless as every motor will run different.

1. Don't waste $20
2. If you have no money, don't modify the car.
3. Increasing the rev limiter is not going to make you any faster or make any more power.
4. There is not real reason to be going that fast on public roads anyway.

Dont do it. It's a waste of money.
