Just bought a 95 civic with a b18b1 swap. It had an erratic idle(1000-1500) in neutral when I got it so I did some research, cleaned IACV and adjusted FITV and it still didn't fix it. The other day I noticed some gimp wiring on my TPS and when I unplugged it (while running) the jump in idle stopped. Luckily its already been replaced because there is bolts in it but my question now is does that mean my TPS needs replacing?

The other problem started about a week and a half ago, when I'm in 1st 2nd and 3rd at 2k+ rpms with the throttle at the same position it would grab and gain power like it was missing, once I got into 4th it seemed to smooth out. The past few days its started bogging and missing really bad (in 1st, 2nd, 3rd) so I tested the coil today and it read very low, would this be the source of the bogging and missing?

Ive been having the same exact problems with my ls, bump for figuring this out!

 

The b18 in mine is from an LS.

I forgot to mention is that it's running a little rich. Also on cold start it will idle to 2k then will sputter down and die if i dont give it gas, backfiring during this.

 

hey look at your computers, on the second set of numbers it has a number higher than 50 its an automatic computer, mine does the same thing, at about 3k rpm it starts to sputter if your gunning it a little
