i dont have a pic but i installed my down pipe today and it is lower than the deep end of my oil pan,and about 3"-3 1/2" away from the shallow end of the oil pan?! and lower than the crossmember!!!?? did jdmhondaparts.com give me the wrong down pipe??

anyoneelse have this problem or is this normal. 90 civ hatch B16

I had this problem when I first put the motor in. It was an LS manifold. When I used a JDM B16 manifold, it fit perfect. Check that out. BTW, the LS looked exactly as what you described.

 

so i have LS headers and down pipe on my b16. or do i have the rite down pipe and wrong headers! who would do that,and why?

anyone want to trade a B16 manifold for a LS one?

if the downpipe hangs lower than the oil pan, its definitely not a b16 downpipe. look under, if it looks like its gonna drag, definitely not b16 downpipe. a b16 dp is almost equal to oil pan.

 

so do i get a new down pipe or a new manifold?

 

i mean .... how would i know if i need both or if the manifold is the same as an LS can i just get the pipe?

 

jdm b16 exhaust manifold has 2 bungs for the 02s....try to change the down pipe...

 

ok thanks ! i do have a b16 manifold so they sent me the wrong down pipe that sucks.thats the 2nd thing jdmhondaparts.com sent me that was wrong. axles now this.they claim to buy front clips and sell you everything from that clip. they either lied to me or someone needs to put the blunt down b4 they put the engine pallets together! biachez
