Icon2 b16 wount go into gear

i have a b16 tranny in my DA and when i put it into gear and come off the clutch it its like a grinding rubbing sort of sound. all the gears are the same even reverse. i can put it into gear with the car off and it will still roll back. my buddy said that its probably my pressure plate but i just wanted a second opinion. should i fix the b16 or would i be better off buying a gsr (im going ls turbo soon and i dont think the short b16 gears would be too good boosted).

Based on the limited amount of info you're providing, I would say clutch or shift linkage.

When did this start doing this?
Did you just put the trans in and it did it?
Or were you driving on it for a while and it started?
Did you have the LS trans driving fine on the same exact linkage?
Do you have the correct linkage installed correctly?
Etc.?

sorry for the lack of info, i was in school and trying to write it before class ended.
the b16 was in the car when i bought it and it was all good until 2 nights ago when i was driving to work. i stopped at a stop sign and went to put it into first gear at like a 2mph roll. i heard a little pop sort of sound and then it was like a grind rumble sort of sound when i came off the clutch. im pretty sure the linkage is fine because i was driving it for a few months with no problems at all. and the kid i bought it from said he had just put in new shift linkages about a month before i bought it, as well as a new clutch.
