Alright so this is my first self-install and it was going fairly well until one day the radio lights started flickering and odd issues with USB recognition and 1 day it just stopped working. I figured the wiring was too loose. Took it all out, redid the wiring with solder rather than crimping and now all the wires are nice and tight. Plugged it all in-worked great.
next day-it wouldn't turn on. I just unplugged the wires, checked them, and replugged the wires and it works again. I'm assuming it'll be dead tomorrow.
Ideas? Is it shorted somewhere? None of the bare wires are touching each other...
it's a pioneer 2200ub.

Not very common, if all harness/wires are tightly secured, you could try to reground directly to the frame of the car behind your dash. If that doesn't work, you could run new power wires to the radio, if that doesn't work, we may need to consider exchanging the radio. Did your previous radio have any issues?

yea i'm using an aftermarket harness that goes to OEM, i'll look at the pins.
I thought it might be the ground, if it happens again i'll just reground it. This is my first aftermarket before i had a stock one with no issues except cd player wasn't working. that was the radio's fault though. just wouldn't read.
