$40 Short Shifter and feels like stock
If you don't mind the rice try a GReddy shift ****. Unlike many shift ***** these are threaded to match honda shift rods so there is no play. Also, unlike honda shift ***** that are threaded at the bottom, these are threaded at the top of the **** so it sits a whole shift **** length lower. I even tried the **** on a DC sports short shifter and the shifts were super short.
I'm not trying to promote GReddy products (I don't care for their products other then the shif ****) but just trying to help out some of you budget minded autocrossers.

Ill chime in with i have a DC **** and i LOVE IT. it does shorten the throw because it does down onto the shifter instead of sitting on top of it like stock.
people always mistake it for a short shifter.
then ask me if i cut it

I'd rather do what I did.
Get the B&M shifter and ES bushings for about $45, and use the stock ****.

Feels better, but looks stock.

i *think* the mugen/spoon ***** are like this as well. my mugen seems a lot shorter at least than stock..,
yep. and my momo **** sits lower than stock.
to be honest, I dont really want a short throw. There is no performance advantage, and its no more convenient IMO. call me wierd

if you want a really low ****. there's a Razo that's height adjustable. at the lowest setting it is about 10 mm below the height of the top of shifter!
it's a pretty cool **** actually. i'll take some pix of anyone's interested.
