Default boost or poor mans type r

I have a 99 coupe with a gsr swap. I have itr replica headers, skunk 2 intake manifold, aem short ram , greddy cat back, and its tuned on neptune. the original plan was to keep this n.a. but after riding in a datsun swapped sr20 ive had the itch to go really fast. the problem is i do auto x and want to make my way up to a little bit of road course events.so i dont know if i want to boost it (synapse turbo kit) or build a poor mans type r. also can a turbo honda do decent on a road course or do i need to stick with a n.a. set up. please give me some advice hondatech

i would stay NA for sure if your planning on road racing, you dont have to worry about turbo lag, unless you run a very small turbo that spools fast a built NA gsr will be great

Since you already have a B18C swapped car, just add to what you have Get some good cams, lightened flywheels, perhaps even a FD swap to your tranny, that will really wake it up!!

Don't waste your time with a ptr build if your thinking of an allmotor build. I can see a good turbo build on a road track but imo I would keep to fairly stock na in autox.

I'm extremely happy with my PMT-R. GSR block, P30 pistons, B16 head, mild P&P, GSR tranny, Skunk2 basemap, AEM cai, and WS2 exhaust, runs damn good for just a mild stock build. I'm gunna do some headwork, should rip. Walks B16's, just food for thought.
