Ok so I'm gettin a carpet for my ef for 5 bucks it's in mint shape and the bad the bad thing is that it's blue don't really like it. Is there any way I can't spray paint it or is there something else I have yo use. I really don't want to spend like 80 bucks on a new carpet.

 

I used some fabric paint, came out great. go to advanced auto.

Do u know what is called?

 

Duplicolor has one called Vinyl and Fabric Coating. I recently tried some on a few of the carpeted trunk peaces in my Del Sol and have to say it works great, I even tried it on an extra sheet of vinyl I had, and it worked without problems.
There is higher quality stuff that SEM puts out, but I think the Duplicolor on works just fine.

 

sem carpet dye. its really good stuff. but is kinda expensive. worth it though as long as you clean the carpet prior and follow the directions. I used it on the door panels on my ef, and the carpet in my ek hatch is done with it. looks great and is pretty durable.

 

SEM satin black is the way to go. It should take about 2 maybe 3 cans but will be durable and have a good oem look to it ...

 

weird, I tried some of that stuff let it dry a day, then took a white shirt and rubbed it into the carpet and it just had black streaks on it..

Maybe I did something wrong but the idea was to simulate heavy use.

Well I'm getting the carpet tonight after work with some gsr leather seats so on Saturday I will stop by and get some paint. How long should I let it dry for? I'll make sure I'll post some pictures after I'm done.

 

I had the same question and the only answer I really got was to use any water based dye..the guy who told me that used some type didn't tell me but it looked great!
