its the prelude curse lol. no, iirc the "peanut" bulbs are wired up in series not paralell circuits, so if one is not making a good connection, all will go out. check to make sure they are twisted tight and not loose.

mine went out for a brief time yesterday. a quick jab to the dash turned them right back on. Good ol' hondas!

This problem occurs often with the climate control for preludes, you'll have to replace the LED bulbs and sometimes resolder a few points to make them work again.

Its common.. the fix in this thread worked for me:

https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-prelude-4/4th-gen-climate-control-buttons-wont-switch-lights-wont-come-2462338/

You have to pull the unit out of the dash so you can open it up and get to the board with the bulbs on it. I didnt have any bad bulbs, just bad solder connections. There's pictures around here somewhere.

I've got the same problem in my 04 Accord EXV6 sedan w/86k miles. Also, audio system(OEM) lights don't work. Fuses don't seem to be the issue. Radio and climate controls work. It's just that the switches and the screen/clock do not illuminate. Dash lights work. Hazard switch light works. Seat heater lights work. Trans indicator lights work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

I suggest the Accord forum. With that being said your audio and climate control lights are powered by the same 22 pin connector. If you are sure the fuse is ok then you will need to do some basic electrical trouble shooting. GL

My a/c control head lights go out too, but im also having a problem with it switching over from floor vent to top vents and back. Could it be a motor or is the problem still in the control head with my light problem? Any ideas. thanks

Just pull the climate control off and resolder the main terminal contacts to the pcb board.
