Default b18a, need a plug for this thing dont know wtf it is

ive been out of town the last 2 weeks but the day before i left this plug came off my car somehow and dumped the oil. i have spent hours here and there when i have time trying to figure out where to buy another one. i have found a ton of pictures searching so i know they exist but i cant find anywhere to buy something. is this not where a stock an oil temp sensor goes? i know its oil something and i have searched it all but nothing. please help i give up!

well i have an ls vtec as well, honestly i cant remember what the hell was there before it came off, but if it was still the sensor it def was not hooked up.

i have seen many pictures with a big metal plug in there, if i cant find anything like that i guess just the sensor would work. anything to not have a massive hole is sounding pretty good right now.

im still searching with knock sensor this time and still getting lots of conflicting info like before. some places saying these motors dont have a knock sensor, i honestly dont know.
there is oil beyond the hole. i dumped almost all my oil when the thing came off.

alright well im still not having any luck finding anything i can just buy online, unless i spend 40 bucks on a new sensor which is dumb because it will only be used as a plug in my case.

if someone has a junk one that will do the job let me know i will pay shipping+a few bucks for your trouble, otherwise anyone know what tools and sizes of wrenches might i need to go pull one at a junkyard. dont want to go this route since i dont have the time, but if i have to i have to. thanks!

On older blocks that is where the radiator fan switch goes. On newer blocks it is simply a threaded large plug that goes in that hole (you'll probably have to get the plug directly through Honda)

you should just go to the junk yard and pull 1 from 1 of the cars.

im finally making time to get down there tomorrow, lucky enough about the only hondas we get there are da's so should be able to find something.

only thing im still wondering is what size wrench i need for that sensor, or in a lot of pics the plug i have seen looked like a large allen head. i would like some idea if possible so i dont have to bring every tool i own haha.
