Default Radar/Laser detector

I just got a radar/ laser detector and I wanted to know if you guys think it would be alright to put it on a little incline on my dash and near the A-fram on my car. Would it still work good or would it not pick up signals as good?

Get it as high as possible, anykind of detector don't matter they need to "see" the road for it to work.

The higher the better. That's why Valentine ONE didnt go with the license plate or bumper mounted sensor. Cops like to ZAP you as you crest a hill. If your dectector is HIGHER, it will notify you earlier as you are cresting the hill.

Read some info on the http://www.ValentineOne.com. It makes sense.

I dont promote or sell the Valentine One, but I do use it personally and it has saved my butt many times!!!!!

that makes a ton of sense.. i personally have a bel vector 975? i think, its the one that goes behind the front bumper and the laser detectors are in the windshield.. i think it looks great, but i got a hookup on it so i took it i do know that V1 still owns the market but its expensive..

Man, I sprung for the V1 and I would do it 10 times over. I love that thing, and I will always have one. My best friend bought the Passport 8500 and we put them both up in my car. The V1 went off several seconds earlier and continued to go off after we passed the source, while the passport just went quiet.

I've had both in my car and I'd shell out the extra $100 without thinking twice.
