If you have swap experience i would do the H22 swap it alot of fun to drive, you have all your power down low. has way more torque then the LS Vtec and cheaper. I had everything I needed for H swap for about $1,600 Engine, tranny ecu, traction bar axels, going down the road. When i built my LS vtec i spent about $2,300 with the internals, machine, work, b16 trans, tuning ect.. tuning is where it get a little spendy when you want it done right. dont get me wrong LS vtec make great power and are reliable when built by the right person, but my h22 swap put a smile on my face everytime i dorve it. I didnt have to take it to 8k everytime to get some power. its a matter of opinin tho I loved my LS Vtec but an H22 has a different feel. its the torque

Go H2b I had a built/sleeved h23 block with built h22 head with a euro-r trans on like 8-10 psi in my 99 coupe and it was ****ing FUN but if your going NA
Id do a h2b b16 or itr trans on a h22 i/h/e/im/tb/cams and you'll have a fast car.
If your boosting dont boost a stock H build it sleeve it etc...
How ever shamless plug I have a H series turbo kit for sale for a 96-00 coupe cough cough lol

i always figured the torque would be nice, thats whats killing me personally, as I choose between engines

I would also personally choose the h22a if i were deciding between the lsvtec or h22a
