I say go with the h22 cause the vtech phone will not move on the street. Now if you talking about a LSVtec vs h22 both are good but personally I like the h22 cause its a motor that's quick stock.

Re: ls/vtechvs h22 (DxTrix)
its all about the h
why go through the trouble of making an ls/vtec work when you can have the same power, if not more out of the box?

Re: ls/vtechvs h22 (delLudeVTEC)
This is going to start to dumb stupid debate, maybe i can change that by adding this....
cases for the ls/vtec
1. Lighter
2. More aftermarket options available
3. Better Trannies
cases for the H22:
1. more torque
2. cheapness
cons of the ls/vtec
1. poor builds often leading to engines blowing
2. b series engines are getting rarer
3. expensive if built properly
cons of the h22:
1. a little heavier than the b series
2. the trannies arent the best.

Re: ls/vtechvs h22 (EG hatchie94)
I've driven both setups... "stock" LS/VTEC, and built 12.5:1 comp LS/VTEC (bored out to 85mm) and a stock H22 and a built H22. The only thing comparable is a stock JDM H22 swap in a Civic hatch and a built 12:1 comp LS/VTEC 2.0L setup with a B16 or ITR tranny. The only thing that feels similar is the throttle response and torque, under 5000 rpms. After that, it's a different feel and each has their pro's and con's. But for the price the guy put into his 12:1 comp 2.0L LS/VTEC w/ITR tranny setup, I paid about half that on the stock JDM H22 swap.

The phone yo! Because you can make a call faster than drive to the same location in your H22 car

stfu and leave the guy alone.
id definately go for the H cuz its pretty cheap and if you wanna be faster, you got a a stock engine to work with to gain more hp, so is alot easier to gain more power.

Re: ls/vtechvs h22 (EK22snatch)
u could spend a nice chunk of change to get that lsvtec working good, and running pretty strong, but then u're still not get as much tq as a stock H22... some might debate this.. but im really not sure on how much u will get out of a built lsvtec, however, i know that know matter what, its still a B series. which is not an H.
H>B. go H, u wont regret it.
