95 GSR w/ JDM B18C ..::IAT Issues!!::..
Contact: Post on Here, PM, or Call 434.989.8980
Car: 1995 Integra GSR
Engine: freshly built JDM B18C
Wiring Harness: JDM Motorsports OBD1 Vtec
Problem: IAT reads "123 degrees" ALL THE TIME
SManager/my MIL keeps indicating that I have a bad IAT sensor. I've replaced the sensor with 2 different sensors, with no change. I followed the testing procedure from ALLDATA, which lead me to run a wire directly from the IAT to the proper pinout on the ECU, still no change. I then assumed it might be an issue with the ECU (the p72 with the recently installed s300), so I swapped computers from my wife's boosted civic - uploaded my map - still 123 degrees. Put her computer back in her car and it reads IAT perfectly.
If you have any testing procedures that you may recommend, it would be appreciated.
Thanks Honda-Tech Patrons!

Sounds like you've eliminated the sensor as the problem and made sure that the wiring from the sensor to the ECU is not fried. If the chassis harness is unmodified, then it would seem that the engine harness is the culprit. If I were you, I'd probably just try unplugging all of the engine harness plugs, routing the IAT sensor to the ECU, and see if you still get the same result.

or check lead direction of the circuit.
but
..... IM saying BOTH ECUs are set to that 123 degree parameter... because , 123 is not too hot for the temp to be when fully warmed... if they are chipped obvisouly, than the person who did the chip set , did so and then set it, BEcuase if it was set too low then it would waste gas, thinking its cold out and so (colder air denser, more fuel available to go in).... so he/she picked a number the ecu could relate with, and its just NOT on a fluctuating scale (so its staying the same)>.... GL.....

lol wtf is the difference in sensors, you put the jdm motors and sensors in us cars all day... That is irrelevant.
If you have changed IAT's I would check and see if the wiring is in good shape from the connector to the ecu. Also are you 100% positive you have the correct plug connected?

LOL ! Thanks for your expert opinion.

Its definitely the proper/matching colors for the schematic on ALLDATA. And I tested the wire with the multimeter (ohms) - S'all Good. Which is why I am perplexed.
Nonetheless - Thanks for your well thought out suggestion.
