Default Can i spray WD-40 or carb cleaner in turbo

I notice my greddy turbo is a little dirty around the mouth of the turbo, can i spray wd-40 or carb cleaner in the mouth of the turbo without having to take the turbo off to clean it?

wd-40 should be fine and if u can keep it just on the metal the carb cleaner would be safe too

wd-40??? use something that's really volatile like carb cleaner, wd-40 will make a mess.

If you provided a place for the dirty solvent to flow out, carb cleaner would be fine. It will wash away grime and evaporate. WD40 will leave an oily film behind since it's intended as a lubricant.
