94 D16 vtec - not running good with either P06 or P07 ECU
So i bought my really cheap 1994 civic ex from a friend that had it torn apart. I pieced it back together... I think, because when i start it, it sound ok but when i drive it, it doesn't have power or any rpm to it, it will only rev to about 5.5k with the p07 ecu and rev to about 5k with the p06 ecu. I don't have the right ecu so i found the p06 from a 95 civic dx and i got a p07 that my friend gave me. The only thing i'm missing is the purge solenoid valve, and i'm running a d15 throttle body with a not so good throttle body gasket but it has gasket maker with the throttle body gasket.
What i don't get is some people say that you can run the p06 ecu on the d16 and it should run fine its just you won't have the vtec.
So what would it be?
