Need help with ECU's for 94 civic
I have a 94 civic EX auto ecu hooked to a dx (non-vtec) motor, will this cause the ECU to put the engine in limp mode?
Also will a non-vtec ECU plug into a vtec harness?
Thanks for the help, I tried searching but couldn't find exactly what i needed since swapping in non-vtec motors isn't the most popular thing.

Re: Need help with ECU's for 94 civic (in2turbos)
it may cause the ecu to throw a CEL or two you can plug a non VTEC ecu int a VTEC harness but VTEC obviouly wont engage due to there being no VTEC solenoid or cam profile for that matter
why are you doing this again?

Re: Need help with ECU's for 94 civic (in2turbos)
It's for my sister's EX car, when she got rod knock on the ex engine she just wanted something cheap swapped in to drive around. So I swap in a DX motor they had at the shop. After thinking, I'm wondering if leaving the EX ecu in there is causing more problems than just an CEL.
What is the ECU number needed for an 94 automatic civic dx
