Ok, so today I had to replace my wheel stud on my car because they broke from mechanics in the past over-torqueing them. Anyways, because i didnt realize the problem fast i was driving with loose lugs basically which made the "holes" bigger and they said over-time my lugs might just go straight through the wheel and i wont be able to tighten them any more.

is there a solution to this problem? like a washer I can buy or something?

 

Are you referring to the holes in the rims in which the studs go through and the lug nut secures?

I've seen this problem before but never a solution other than replacing the rims. Tapered lugnuts may work if the holes are only slightly elongated and properly torqued. Have you spoken to the shop where the work was done and asked for a full replacement?
