Trouble with my chipped P28
Ok, I need some help, I know my problem is not the obd2-obd1 harness and it's not the chip because I already test those parts with my other p28 and everything was good.
This is the trouble:
When I short the service jumper I can't read the code of this chipped P28, the light stay ON, but when I open J1 in the P28 I read the code 20 ? This is the code for Electrical Load Detector, defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor. I don't have visible burned chips.
This ecu is install in my 98 integra with obd2-obd1 harness and VAFC
The Revision of those ecu are not the same !!!
G02 = That one work very well
A00 = Bad ????
If somebody already had this kind of trouble, I need to know how did you fix it !!!!!
Did you just install those parts: 10k resistor, jumper and the 2 capacitors, my P28-G02 work with those mods but not my P28-A00 ???

There is a problem with the install of the chip in your P28 (A00). There is either a bad solder joint somewhere, or the processor chip (74HC373) is defective, or the wrong value of resistor or capacitors has been used. The reason you don't get any codes when you short the service check connector, is because the ECU is not reading the chip at all, and therefore thinks that it has failed.
If you would like it repaired, we can do it for a very reasonable amount of money. We are located in Vancouver, BC, and have been chipping and repairing ECUs for a couple of years.
Allez voir notre site (un peu faible, mais sous construction) a http://www.vtecfrog.com.
