Default ITR SWAP SMOKING WHEN FLOORED

Hey, SO i got a ITR swapped EK and for some reason when driving normal there is no smoke at all but the minute you floor it it looks like a turbo diesel truck. Any ideas on why it does that? Car specs:

99 B18C JDM Type R
Chipped P28 by Phearable.net w/ Jumper Harness
Apexi World Sports II Exhaust w/ Skunk 2 testpipe
AEM intake
NEW fuel filter, spark plugs, cap and rotor

Black smoke normally means that the car is running to rich. The chipped ecu could cause that.

^^lol yeah try the type-r ECU and see what happens. Your "chipped ECU" may not be tuned for your setup.

yeah... true... i was thinking about what might or might not be connected to the motor right now... but its about the same price as a tune for the computer... which one would u rather do???? I want to eliminate smoke all together... get it running good...

before i went spending anymore money id do a leak down and compression test .

cover your bases before you jump to any conclusion . usually base maps do run very rich but id check compression and leak down before i bought an ecu just to make sure that the tune is the issue ..

^Run the ECU that matches your engine. You can never go wrong.
