Default B18b1 into a CRV?? is it possible

Ok here is the deal I have a 2000 crv with 290k miles on it the motor has no compression, I know I can swap the head off a b18b1 and it works but are the blocks similiar ? if so I just want to change the whole engine to a b18b1.
Any input is great
Thanks

You can swap engines, but its going to lack a bit in terms or torque. JDM B20s are so cheap that unless you already have a B18B sitting there I wouldn't bother.

if the block is still good...(pistons/rods..etc) just swap the head, imo...
thats a common problem for crvs, most of the owners dont bother or no one
tells them to get valve adjustments as a part of maintenance...also a
head swap is easier than a full engine swap..!?!?
anyways, good luck!!

depending on what year the engine is, you might have to do some wiring....but shouldnt be a big deal. obd2 engines are slightly different than obd1 engines. other than that, its a direct replacement.
