vibrations through steering wheel...
hey guys, im not that great with mechanics but i was told by the dealer that i needed balancing and wheel alignment to b done on my 08 accord. i passed on it, but now im noticing alot of vibrations through my car when i go at high speeds, could this b because i didnt balance the car?? now im considering going back to get this done, whats your input??? Thanks in advancee...
you can benefit from the alignment and tire balance for sure... it's always necessary to at the very least have it checked.
there were a lot of alignment issues on the 08's... it seems that most of them didn't come from the factory aligned as well as one would have hoped. I suppose ohio thought it was the dealers responsibility.
how many miles on your car? if your tires are worn that can be the cause(as many things could be), especially if the vibrations are in that magical 50-65mph range

currently they r at approximately 40,000km . i shall take a look @ the tires tonite
, and yes, they happen randomly @ the magical range you quoted, sometimes even at higher speedss
A simple wheel balance will take care of 95% of steering wheel vibrations at highway speeds. If the problem also occurs during braking have the wheels balnced first then test drive again if the vibration during braking persists then the f rotors are most likely warped.
