Default 2004 honda element alarm

hello. anyone who might be able to help me figure out why i dont have a "beep" anymore for my alarm? I have the master key, the green light comes off and on properly. I made sure the horn works by testing the panic button, but when i leave my car, close my doors, the alarm doesn't beep or activate. I couldn't seem to locate a valet switch as well, assuming there is one.

thank you for any help!

Turn your ignition on, then back off.

Remove the key, and press the unlock button. (on your factory key fob)

You should see your factory security system led flash two times.

you are now out of valet mode, and your security system is disarmed.

It should operate as normal from this point...
