Default obd2 to obd1 conversion, help me

hey guys so i have a 2000 integra gsr with a p72 ecu, stock fuel map, stock everything and obd2. And i just bought a P28 obd1 chipped ECU running moddified P30 maps, has a re-burnable chip (so the kid said). And i was wondering if it was the right thing to do, cuz i know a guy who can do really good tuning and he advised i picked up a p28 ecu and he would do the rest of the work. The p28 ecu i bought already has launch control as well. Now i know i need to buy a jumper harness inorder to plug the p28 into my harness, but what is already put on the ecu will my car run fine or will i need immediate tuning? And if it matters im not running the stock motor in my car, i have a b20b bottom end with a sandwich plate with oil line for vtec with the stock b18c1 head (no aftermarket parts i know of). Also is my p72 ecu worth holding onto or should i sell it after i get the p28 set up?

Any help is appreiciated.

Will heres the thing, go get the jumper harness "OBD2B" beacuse ur 98-01. and just order or buy another chip soo that u have both setup! the modified p30 map and ur guy that will do ur tunning. i think the chips you can find a frys eletronics, ebay, and other place that are big on import racing. looking for about 10-30 each depending when u get em. If you have the 28 pin socket on ur ECU for ur chip then youll be able to use diffrent chips. but if u dnt then u wont be able to do soo. but always keep an extra ECU! for other problems and you never know when ur gonna need it agian.

thanks man, so ill order the jumper harness off ebay on payday and go from there, im gonna talk to paul (the tuning guy) and see what he would advise me doing. He knows how to tune cars really good and he said he will charge me 80 an hour (not including gas) but he said it should only take about an hour. And he only has the right software for odb1, thus why i bought a p28. Also obd1 is alot more tunable. But i have one more question, when i use this ecu will i still have to use 2 o2 sensors like it has right now? or can i use one of the o2 bungs to run wideband?

Yes Because the obd1 ECU only detects one O2 Sensor. and if ur gonna be runing a air fuel ratio then you will need the sensor. but if ur friend can delete maps and o2's on ECU then you can do that also....

man.. i have done that in the past and car stalls a lot, doesn't idle properly.
it was OBD2B B18B1 to OBD1 P75 5 speed ECU, i was told swap out the dizzy would fix the problem but i didn't bother and swap my original one's back.
so if you are going with OBD1 and run into the low idle issue, you might try swap to OBD1 dizzy and see if that fixes the problem.

OBD2B to OBD1 jumper harness is what you are looking for.

I dont think the ecu has anything to do with the car stalling, if it is then its a matter of tuning needed.

it dnt have anything to do with ur dizzy. also he has a ob2b2 he wouldnt be able to use an obd1 dizzy unless he gets and obd1 engine harness, or ghetto reg it. and you wont have bad idle issue because all ur doing is useing a diffrent ecu with a diffrent base map with tunning soo youll be in good hands, there shouldnt be any problems.
