it depends on each particular manifold mostly. ive seen some creep to 375whp on the stock block, and ive seen others hold 300whp no problem. what manifold are you running?

turbo mani, exhaust setup and wg are going to determine and creeping issues. nothing to do with your engine internals

I've got a .6 bar spring and I can hold 9psi on my full race ramhorn. 84mm bottom and portflow worked the head. You should be fine on the wastegate.

Why not save yourself a few hundred bucks and get a 57 trim? You're not going to use the benefits of the GT30r at a mere 8psi.

30r spools faster its an excellent choice for those that want something that is good for a stock motor and good for a built block down the road.

I already bought the turbo, but just wanted to make sure it wouldnt boost creep and blow. I am getting a ramhorn mani and Tial 38mm wastegate. Later on I will be getting pistons, already have the rods, just saving to get hg, bored out, pistons, arp headstuds. I bought the turbo because of what I want in the long run but for now just wanted to run low boost.

I know the bottom end has nothing to do with creep but heard from someone that it would creep and his buddies blew up because of it. I also asked if it was tuned, legit parts not ebay, etc still got same answer..it would still creep.

I am getting good parts not ebay junk, so I should be good with a ramhorn, tial 38mm wg ?

Once again, I wasn't saying it would boost creep because it was stock bottom end; more of that I am worried of it boost creeping because its a stock bottom end.

Exactly. not even close. Efficiency and the "magic" of a GT3076R isn't even close to being seen at that level. But since you have it already, use it

while i understand your point, the answer is still going to be that based on other parts you are using (mani/wg/exhaust) will determine creep. just because you have a 30r doesnt mean it will automatically creep. and while boost creep may be slightly more dangerous to a stock bottom end it can be just as bad for a built motor. so in the end you really just need to monitor your setup, use over boost protection, and make changes if needed to fix creeping problems.

quick question. I remember the whole Peakboost issue and boost creep, and I remember someone saying that the reason why boost would creep so bad with a sidewinder was due to running low pressure with a bigger turbo. So guys with 35R's, a sidewinder (whether it be peakboost or full race) would see creeping issues when they ran say 11 psi. I know my friends 35R and his sidewinder creeps to 13psi at full boost.

Would something like this be true? and if so, is it applicable to the OP's situation?

Sorry if I sound confusing lol

Do you have a picture of this sidewinder setup? It all comes down to manifold design and wastegate flow.

the sidewinder setups im referring to are the peakboost sidewinders and full race sidewinders. Im not sure about the peakboost one but I read that the full race ones were made with teardrop wastegate tubes which is supposed to help with flow. The thing is regardless, with both manifolds and big turbos, people still seem to creep, but what I think they found is that the people who are creeping are running really low pressure with these big turbochargers.

If this really is the case, I wanted to see if a situation like this is applicable to the op's situation, and if he is better just turning it up a bit more, instead of running a mere 8 psi on such a nice turbo if hes worried about creeping.
