Running Rich.....
In simple terms you could add a better spark, more air or reduce the fuel flow. Best thing to do is determine why it's running rich, if it's a stock engine there is probably something that needs to be cleaned or replaced. I.E. Ignition or O2 sensor maybe.
What make model year is your vehicle?
What, if any, modifications have you made to it?
Why do you think it's running rich? Fuel Smell in exhaust, black bumper or do you have an actual air fuel ratio reading?

The CEL issue he posted the day before about a code 41 could have something to do with it.

A new O2 sensor??????

If your car is fuel injected (which I'm assuming it is) then there isn't a way to adjust the air fuel ratio. The ECU does that for you. It should never just "run rich" There is a sensor or component of your fuel delivery system working improperly.
Sorry for the delay. Been very busy with work. I have recently replaced the O2 sensor due to the 41 code. Since I replaced it. It still has a very strong fuel smell coming out of the exhaust. I just got finished with a cross country trip. I have replaced the O2, plugs, wires, and I've done an oil change since I got to my destination.

A cross-country trip is enough time for the fuel trims to readjust themselves naturally.
Maybe the fuel smell isn't because your car is running rich. If you want to know, on an older car, you should measure the fuel injector duration and the fuel pressure. If they are normal the car is probably not running rich.
