completly rebuilt a d16a6 block with a fully built z head

new oil pump new gaskets everywhere
removed oil control jet

it ran like crap at first but that was my nad had some sensors crossed and then it idled perfect

the oil light is on now theres more than enough oil

everything is connected

it sounds like its not gettin oil to the head and not flowing right
but i had originally forgotten to install the cam seal and when it reved oil shot out like no ones buisness its installed now timing is set

now when puttin the engine in it had a nice fall and the purge cut solenoid valve broke!

havent replaces it

im completly stumped why the oil light is on and the motor keeps turning off after a nice rev

Maybe a bad oil pump?

 

It's a brand new pump but it could be faulty but the oil light does go off and on sometimes and when I forgot the cam seal oil was pourin out

 

Measure the oil pressure to see whether the oil light is telling you the truth.

well replaced oil pump with oem and put an auto meter pressure gauge on it and it went up to 20psi at start then slowly went back down to zero and never went back up and my oil light turned off but the gauge says no pressure!

any ideas?
