Gsr swap into Ek Help
Hey guys im in extreme need of help on some clarifications as far as wiring goes. So here it is : I have a 97 civic ex that i bought recently and it had a sohc single cam swap in there. So over the weekend i eneded up swapping it out for a gsr swap. Now the swap is in and all but im extremly confused about a few things. I have a 0bd 1 p28 chipped ecu with a jumper harness that im going to be using so thats that. But where im confused is i heard it was all supposed to be plug and play???
I searched and searched and ending up finding out that i need to wire in a cfk sensor? and secondary butterfly valve and Iacv? if this is truly the case would anyone happen to have any diys at all on how to perform this??

Re: Gsr swap into Ek Help
Also when i bought the car It had the d series swap in it but i have a feeling it was converted from auto to manual?> anyway how could i verify this? is there anything i could look at on the car to see if it was a auto before? this would help me greatly because then i could know if my harness is an auto ex harness or a manual

If you are using a p28, you won't need to wire up CKF, and since you have an EX, you won't need to do anything about the IACV. The secondaries aren't required just to get it running, but will help with power once you wire it up. Hasport makes a subharness that I think will work http://www.hamotorsports.com/egdxgsr.html

Re: Gsr swap into Ek Help
OBD1 ECU wont look for a CKF sensor, if it was a 5 speed EX its already setup for a 2 wire IACV and finally a P28 wont look for secondary butterflies. As far as the harness goes, if it has 4 plugs at the ECU end (one of them not being used) then its an automatic harness.
