My exhaust setup was... 3 inch downpipe to flex pipe to 3 inch magnaflow muffler (by the shiftlinkage) to a 3 inch vibrant resontor then the turns and dumping right underneath the right rear lower control arm...

i have had the 3 inch magnaflow muffler (in my opinion an early flow restriction) cut out and replaced with 3 inch piping...

i NEED to add a muffler since my car now sounds like its a formula 1 race car (way to loud) however i refuse to relocate the muffler in the typical location and cutting out the trunk is not an option for me (i saw that recent thread).

i am thinking about using a 3 inch borla muffler 400238.. has anyone used this muffler?

anyone seen a muffler picture thread? how people mount mufflers in other locations rather than the typical spot?

 

its super loud for a few reasons. there is a reason the muffler extends al the way tot the back of the vehicle. if the tip of the muffler doesnt extend out the rear or side of the car it will create alot of in cabin exhaust sound.

 

i dont think you understand what i meant by loud... its not just loud in the cabin... its loud a mile away....
