B16a(1st gen) not cranking...
I have made a few posts the last couple days regarding my car and the accident I was involved in. anyway, after the accident occurred, the car was still running. turned it off and went to start it back up and the engine won't spin...all accesories work, relay is good, but the damn thing won't crank. this leads me to believe it is my starter. but all the wires are in tact. My ecu is throwing code 15, ignition output signal bad, but that wouldn't have anything to do with the car not cranking would it? is there any fuses that would keep it from starting? I am down at college 2 hrs from home with no help and I am not telling pops about the accident cause my friend was driving. so basically I am on my own here
f it comes down to it I am going to tow it to my friends but that is last resort, thanks!

ok...since you have accessory power I would have to assume the battery and all its connections are intact...
The reason why the car won't start prior to the mishap is because your starter was somehow "directly" affected.. The car was running just after the accident, you shut the car down and now it don't start..
prior to the accident the starter had started the car, now it doesnt.. I would have to think that the single "blade" connector came off the started during the big bang... plain and simple, your starter is not receiving the signal from the ignition that supplys the signal to make the starter spin... check that blade connector attached to the starter...

thanks for that info...I will try that immedietly. also, I haven't tried pop-starting it yet...if it starts from that, then that means the ignition switch is f'ed right?
ok update....I went to pop start it and it started first try. drove it around and everything seemed like it did before the accident. then I turned it off and it wouldn't pop start again, must have tried like 10 times...so I don't know what the deal is

lol, you have someone in the car and someone pushing...put the car in 1st, turn ignition to on, hold in clutch, get some speed, dump clutch, it spins the engine like a starter would. and then as soon as it turns over, put the clutch back in real quick...and whamo, you have a pop-started car

oh yeah - "roll starting"
well, have you tried applying +12 directly to hte starter motor solenoid, this will tell you if the stater is damaged.
pull the small blade connecter off the starter and run a wire from the battery to hte starter and it should try to spin.
make sure hte car is not in gear for this.

thanks...didn't try that yet, gonna do some more trouble shooting tomorrow. I just don't understand why it would start once and then not again...
didn't even think that some people haven't heard the term "pop" start..that is all I always call it though
