D16Z6 Rebuild - What do I need?
I have a '92 Civic Hatchback Si, and I just started taking auto at school. My teacher and I are really interested in the car, and we're looking to transform the car inside and out.
I want to rebuild the stock D16Z6, and by research alone, I know what I need for a rebuild. I don't know much yet, but I have read a lot here on HT. My goals for the car are 300WHP on 91 Octane Gas. I'm looking to turbo the car, not running more then 6-8 psi. What I really want is a reliable DD that has passing power and will last quite a long time.
Parts List (Please add to or modify the list!)
Vitara 75mm Pistons - Should I go with a bigger bore/different brand?
Eagle Rods
ARP Bolts & Studs
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
ACL Race Bearings
Flywheel - Haven't decided what I want with it yet..
I will be updating this thread as the project continues, and as the parts arrive! Any input is greatly appreciated.

Well I'm sorry to say but 300whp with only 6/8psi is not going to happen. I would suggest some head work and upgraded valve train, and Higher boost! Vitaras will get the job done great.
How much boost do you think I will need to achieve 300whp? As for head work, does that just involve a port and polish? As I said before, I'm in the learning process right now, so any help is greatly appreciated!
Probably 20ish. It's all in the tune. I would hop over to the forced induction section and read the SOHC setup thread. Lots of setups an the power they made. That'll give you an idea. Do it eight the first time, and research research research.
Alright, I'll look into it! Thanks a bunch bro!
