Calling All Double-A-Arm Street Pprepared Autoxers
Okay, by now most of you know that the SEB has been tasked with creating a logical rules progression from ST to SP over the next few years. One of the SP rule changes for 2003 that is a step in that direction is allowing SP cars to use slotted or drilled brake rotors. Many people, myself included, think that the next logical step would be to allow DAA suspended cars in SP to replace the upper a-arms as a means to adjust camber, as it is allowed in ST. As it stands right now the only allowance we have is offset bushings, which, if anyone has tried them, are a major PITA.
I had a chance to speak with Howard Duncan about this in Topeka and he agreed and said that he would like to see that as the next change. He suggested that anyone interested in such a rule change write a letter to the SEB telling them so. Mine goes in the mail tomorrow; I hope many more follow.

thanks for making the first step on this,

There are several people on the SEB so the easiest way to get to them is via this email address which I assume will go to them all: seb@scca.org That is where I sent mine. I'm also looking into finding either an alias or individual email addresses for the members of the Street Prepared Action Committee but haven't had any success yet. You may want to also cc: Howard Duncan hduncan@scca.org as he is pretty good at making sure they get this stuff.

Just a reminder for everyone to do this!!!
Howard also told me this! Its real easy!

The best arrangement is for folks to send their comments to me for forwarding to the SEB and their SP Committee. In that way the letters get officially logged in for future reference.
Didn't we do a round of letters like this earlier this year? I remember sending a letter requesting the use of "Camber Kits" in SP as outline in ST rules.

B) Plus I wasn't on this board at the begining of this year.
C) This for the people that may not have done it... just a reminder!

even if you've already sent one in...send another! persistance pays off! I'll be drafting mine up right now! right now that rule is what is keeping me out of DSP....and if SP is to be a progression of ST....it's not right that you would have to remove parts to move up to a faster class
