Good luck with a 300 hp NA......It is impossible if you have a budget.
1. the motor is not big enough. 1.8l is just too small for 300whp na power.
2. NA. This isn't grand tourismo.
3. Look at the all motor forums. They have crazy builds there.

idk if you can hit that with a b18c na but your gonna have to sleeve it bore it out and probibly go stroked to even get close. Major headwork, a nice intake, headers and atleast a 3inch exhaust as well. overall your looking to spend alot of money and its gonna be really difficult to see that kinda hp on a b18c. good luck though if thats still the route you want to go and make sure to do a build log!

Anyone who takes the time to look through the all motor dyno threads in the FAQ section knows how hard it is to hit those numbers unless you really know what you're doing and have lots of money. K-series is where you need to start.

300hp on a b18c1? Yes I can help. Would you like minimum of 300 from the engine or the wheels?

Definitely not an easy task.. the problem is that because of how hard it is to reach those kind of #'s n/a on a b series, the "few" people that have accomplished it probably aren't going to be willing to just share their secrets. Like others have said it will take a lot of custom parts (stroker kit, custom rods & pistons, sleeved and bored block, "race" ported head, custom cams, custom header & intake manifold, etc. you see where I'm going with this) and obviously A LOT of money.. I imagine easily $10,000 as I don't really know since I've only ever dreamed of building a 300whp NA B series. Also I hope that you wouldn't plan on making this a daily driven engine as it will require very high compression and race gas. If you have the means and funds I would love to see the build, otherwise I would follow 00Red_SiR's advice and start with a K series as they have a lot more potential and it would be a lot easier to achieve your goal with.

If you're still interested, I advise you to read TBone and RLZ's Project 300whp NA B series thread. It's at least an idea of where to start.

Good Luck.

Yes it is almost impossible. Like Red said the guys that are making 300 whp on a b won't share what they know. I started my b all motor a few months ago. I asked all the big dogs with those monster B's and they never bothered to reply to me.

I made 263 WHP with my b all motor but thats pretty much it for me. Don't know where to look next cause no one is willing to give any info out.

Steve is not willing to help you plan a build? He was always willing to give me pointers after I had him do work for me, even before I had him do work for me.

GOOD LUCK BUDDY!! if you're on a budget you can probably get 215-225whp out of it depending on what parts you use and who tunes it. But 300 you're lookin at big boy money and H or K.

300 whp is ALOT easier with a K series. If your hell bent on 300, sell all the B stuff and go K.

Like everyone else said above, however I have seen a b-series come close, im sure theres someone out there whos done the feat.

The 263 mentioned above, was this your car? If not, weird coincidence I guess lol

K-series is much much easier of course. My friend with a K24/K20 head all OEM internals from different k-series made 255 whp ( i believe, may not be exact number)
