b20 or LS best for boost??
Hey i just wanted to know from you guys which is a stronger STOCK block for boost on a street car that would see 300hp.?????
What are to cons and pros between these two motors doing a stock turbo build for a daily street car??
the reason im asking this is I might go to the dark side lol and go boost next build i do and if i like it enough ill just sleeve and do the whole 9.

As you've stated, there are pros and cons to both engines.
B18A/B
- Pros: Stronger cylinder walls and better platform for a future build (forged pistons/ H-beam rods)
- Cons: Smaller displacement
B20
- Pros: Larger displacement = faster spool and more streetable power
- Cons: Weaker cylinder walls and IMO, not as good of a platform for future builds
This is based on my time here on HT. I have seen many B20 builds, including many on stock sleeves, which make good power and are reliable; however, i'm sticking with the LS as the better choice. Having said that, i'm waiting for the B20 fans to pounce
