HowTF Can I Get A Hold of Koni Customer Service?
I purchased a set of Koni Yellow dampers from Tirerack and it turns out Koni screwed things up big time! They sent me two dampers that had civic part number stickers on them but the parts were waaaaay too large to fit the civic. There's no way they could have been for my car.
Has anyone ever had experience w/ Koni customer service? I've called them a ton of times now and all i get is an answering machine. I've already waited and entire day for them to call back.
So far I'm not very pleased with Koni because:
1) Their quality control didn't do their job. They gave me some mystery shocks w/ civic part numbers on them.
2) Their customer service is very slow. Their phone number goes to voice mail and no one has called me back even after waiting an entire day.
3) They've wasted my time and money. I paid to have the shocks replaced but the mechanic had to reinstall my stock shocks because the Koni stuff was completely incorrect. Also, because my stock suspension was removed and Koni is taking too long w/ replacing the parts, I also had to pay for an alignment.
I've also called tirerack but they claim that I have to deal directly w/ Koni.
Here's the Koni damper and here's what my stock civic one looks like:

I know someone that had the same problem on his Nissan. Sent him 3 correct dampers and 1 from an unknown car. Car had downtime and I dont believe Koni/Tire Rack had much, if any compensation/sympathy for him for THEIR mistake.
GOOD LUCK!
GOOD LUCK!
Google koni north america.
Koni has great customer service, and i would be very suprised if they dont correct this mistake in a timely manner. Unless you ordered the wrong thing by mistake.
However you cant really expect any compensation from them. These things happen, it is life.

i've called every koni-na phone number i could get my hands on...they all go to the same place and it's always voicemail...
and i did not order the wrong part. they stamped civic part numbers onto the wrong shock absorber...

Maybe I'm missing something. How is it koni's fault that tirerack sent you the wrong part?
Sounds like you didn't explain the issue well enough to the tirerack rep. They probably thought you just had install troubles, not that they sent you the wrong part. I ordered brake pads from tirerack before and was shipped the wrong ones. I didn't go blaming Hawk for it, I explained it to the tirerack rep and they sent me the correct pads and paid for me to ship back the wrong ones.

curious what they tell you. this honestly seems like tire racks problem to me but i could see how they would default to koni because of the numbers
